What Changed
AI models, specifically coding models, are now at a point where it is foolish not to embrace them. Writing code by hand does not add that same value anymore; it’s time to look at the big picture.
What I am going to do about it
It’s the year 2026, and I’ve made it my New Year’s resolution to do the following:
- Never fight against AI: Embrace the shift and adapt.
- Make it work for you: Use these tools to augment your productivity.
- Improve my skills: Learn to guide these non-deterministic models to be truly useful.
- Be the safety net: Stay skilled enough to fix things when the AI models fail.
Tools I will be using
- Cursor: For coding; I aim to write less and generate more.
- ChatGPT: For one-off advice and brainstorming.
- Gemini Nano Banana: For generating assets like images.
- I might add more, but this should be a solid start to embracing AI.
Plans for 2026
Until now, I have gathered the skills to learn code and architecture. I am now at a point where I can be a manager of these AI agents. I will create one repo (Digital Factory) which will have the following:
- A. Blog: What you are reading now is from this app.
- B. Desktop App: A template creation tool (internal) for generating video templates.
- C. Web App: A customer-facing tool to quickly create music-synced vlogs from raw mobile footage.
- D. Mobile App: A customer-facing mobile version of the vlog tool for Android and iOS.
- E. CLI: An internal tool to automate frequent operations.
